" Deux Pour Deux " is sold ONLY as an entire suite from a limited edition of 275 signed and numbered lithographs. The fact that these lithographs are signed and numbered by the artist as " one single print" adds great value. Prints I, II, II, and IV each hold # 60/275.
A Certificate of Authenticity verifies vital information. The Artist is Graciela Rodo Boulanger; the Medium is Lithograph; the Title reads " Deux Pour Deux "; the Year of Publication is April, 2002; The Number is 60/275; The Artist' Signature is on this certificate; the Printer is Arte Estampe, Gentilly, France.
Each image dimension is 11" in diameter. All are on Arches Vellum. All plates have been destroyed.
About the artist: More than 150 exhibitions of works by the artist, Graceila Rodo Boulanger, have been held on five contents of the globe. In 1979, she was designated as the official artist for the International Year of the Child poster. Two of her tapestries were presented in the public hall of the U.N. General assembly during that year. The museum of Modern Art of Latin America in Washington, D.C. gave a retrospective show of her oeuvere in 1983. In 1986 the Metropolitan Opera of New York commissioned her to do a poster for their production of Mozart's " Magic Flute", and a show of her paintings with opera and ballet themes were given by the art gallery of London Center.
In 1993 the World Federation of the United Nations chose to use one of her oil paintings to illustrate a tamp issue and accompanying limited-edition print with the theme of endangered species.
Since her first show in Vienna, 1953, she has worked in many other mediums besides oil painting; etching, lithography, water color, pastel, sculpture and tapestry. Works by the artist have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art of Latin America, Washington, D.C.; the Bibiotheque Nationale, Paris; the Museum of Modern Art, La Paz; and the Modern Art Center, Zurich.
